Current Education ? !!!!!

Please give ur comments on the present education system and how to enhance the same. It would be more helpful if its as precises as possible, so that Swarg will take it forward to implement it in our orphanages & adopted model schools.

Hey People,

This is AravindBharathi..Ur event MC.,

Good that u r on bang, the bloggers way..Probabaly i would love to discuss on this over the phone/or in person than on the net..

1Thought 2 share:

Bring Job/skil related trainings at school level --Likely 3 periods/hrs a week which shoul.

Eg:-

Ideally bring in things like electric/electronic production/maintenace classes,,

One Comment...

India being the second largest MOBILE usage contry doesnt even have 10% skilled labour/techinicians on mobile/Computer hardware technlogies..Probabaly the Gen Next will serve the demand reducing our typical china/koprea based expectencies in this sector..

Hi Aravind,

Appreciate Ur thought on this issue and Swarg as well!!!!

We too had an idea of this but the point is at wat stage we should start giving this training.

As you know training should be trailed by practice and the problem comes here.

Suppose if we are giving training to students before standard 10th, they will loose their interest in studies and once they taste the feel of independence then it will be difficult for us to even control them.

What we have planned is till standard 10th we will be giving training on the extra circular activities like Painting, dance, sports, public speaking, etc… depending on the talent of the children. From 1st to 10th standard we love the children to learn (academic and non academic activities) as much as they can and to have fun while doing the same.

If a student wishes to pursue 11th - 12th then based on the demand and academic performance of the student we will give the vocational training (as u said).

In case if the student choose polytechnic then we would recommend them to take vocational trainings that would make them financially stable and self dependent.

We love to hear from u the in this context as well because we are planning to rollout a model plan by the end of July.

@All:
You can any time call any of the Swarg members and share your thoughs\solution on any issues that impacts our society and we promise you that we'll act on it and give u the updates on the same.

Thanks!!!!

Hi Aravind,

Nice thoughts from u...
i wont criticise much on the current education system either its private or govt. In fact, govt has the best teaching models( A.P, tamil Nadu and karnataka) to my knowledge. they have adopted active based learning where the students are taught in a play way method .. There are no grades, they take a gradual process to finish up each Activity.

But the real prob lies in the teaching method. Teachers are not efficient and they dont feel the need to empower the student. Thats where we falter.

If we adopt any school, 80 perc of interaction should be with teachers,we should let them know what is expected of them. Then the students and the teaching methods would fall in place easily....

Even in orphanages or any home. It is highly dependent on the teacher.

Other wise i agree with naresh to identify the special interests of students and encouraging them...

Naresh, have you conducted an event(talent show) to identify the individual talents of the hope that we had adopted... Do this at the earliest so that we can keep track of kids at the earliest and do the needful..... bye.
